Fidan Criticizes Israel's Aggressive Strategy

(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan criticized Israel on Wednesday for its aggressive approach to the Middle East, which he claimed is destabilizing the region.

Speaking at a UN Security Council meeting on the Middle East situation, Fidan emphasized that Israel is pushing its "strategy of aggression" not only in Palestine, but also in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran.

According to Fidan, this approach is creating a dangerous pattern that, if left unchecked, could lead to broader instability.

Fidan specifically pointed to the situation in Syria, stating that Israeli actions are undermining the fragile peace that the Syrian people have fought hard to achieve.

He warned that Israel's aggression is exacerbating ethnic tensions and fault lines across the region, leading to deeper divisions and unrest.

He also criticized Israel's stance, saying it does not seek peace or stability, and called on the Security Council to take collective action to prevent Syria from descending further into violence.

The Foreign Minister further highlighted Israel's ongoing "genocidal war" against the Palestinian people, which continues to cause immense suffering.

He described the dire situation in Gaza, where over two million people are enduring extreme hardship. "Mass displacement and widespread destruction continue," he said, adding that the obstruction of humanitarian aid is a daily reality.

Civilians are being killed at aid distribution points as they attempt to access basic necessities like food and water, while starvation is being used as a "weapon of war."

Fidan accused Israel of violating every principle of international humanitarian law during these attacks.
